One Bench Park

One Bench Park

Do you have a favorite spot that draws you in times of reflection and meditation? One of my favorite spots is what I have named the "One Bench Park." It is at the foot of a dead end residential street in Riverside, along the St Johns River. It is a place of sanctuary when I just need to sit and think and sort some of lifes details out. At other times, it serves just to sit and do nothing and soak up what life has to offer. As you can see, it has much to offer. Usually there is no one else there and the bench is just waiting for me to occupy and visit. One Bench Park is one of life's little hideaways for me. I will miss this little spot when I take to the road again in May.

Flea Market Day: Lighten The Load to Travel

FleaMarketDay
Don't you just love Flea Markets. Especially when you get to spend part of the day on the other side of the table. Wednesday, I spent about 7 hours at one of the busy local flea markets. Most of the stuff sold, nearly all the rest went to City Rescue Mission in Jax. I had fun mixing with all the shoppers, which included some of the vendors shopping early for bargains to put in their stalls. That's just the nature of the way its done. It is a hoot just to watch the activity and behavior

I have been downsizing. Stuff has become less important. Besides I don't want to pay for any more storage than necessary. I have no idea when I will come back to Jax. It's what happens when you don't have a plan. But at this point, it is ok. One day at a time.

So with that out of the way, it's down to business on the rest of the little details that need attention before heading out.

That's it for this post.
